Rhaenyra's second-born child is more mild-mannered than his brother, and has a tougher time with his fate as a royal. In Episode 8, he's named heir to the seat of House Velaryon, Driftmark, but he later admits to his mother that he doesn't want it, and even gets "greensick" (Westerosi for seasick). He is also fiercely loyal to his mom and honorable, which spells trouble when his uncle Aemond comes after him for revenge after losing an eye.

The elder daughter of Daemon Targaryen and Laena Velaryon, Baela (Shani Smethurst, and then Bethany Antonia) grows up in Pentos away from King’s Landing. Known as the the Sea Snake, Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint) was a fabled sailor who marries Rhaenys Targaryen—a rare love match in Westeros’ history. Together, they have Laenor (Matthew Carver early in the show, John Macmillan later) and Laena Velaryon (Nova Foueillis-Mosé early, Savannah Steyn later).

Aegon supposedly preferred Rhaenys, his younger sister, as a wife to Visenya, and so the youngest of the siblings bore the king his first son, Aenys. Five years later, Visenya gave birth to Maegor (supposedly with the help of dark blood magics), who would go on to become the first Targaryen usurper. Even though Rhaenys’ claim to the throne was passed over for her cousin Viserys, Corlys and Rhaenys have hella status without actually having to rule the kingdom. They’re powerful, they’re rich, and their kids have royal blood, making their bloodline ideal to marry back into the Targaryen family.

Sometimes called “Misery,” Mysaria starts out as a sex worker in King’s Landing but quickly becomes indispensable to her patron and lover Daemon as a source of information. Laena and Laenor have limited choices in their roles as heirs to the mighty House Velaryon. They each wind up marrying into the Targaryen dynasty — Laenor forms a marriage of convenience with Rhaenyra that allows him to live freely as a gay man under her protection while she pursues her love affair with Harwin Strong. Though he didn’t marry for love, he makes the best of it, and nobly claims each of her three clearly illegitimate children as his own. Later, rumor has it he murders his own brother-in-law, Laenor Velaryon, then married to Rhaenyra. Then he maybe seals the deal by murdering Rhaenyra’s lover Harwin, thereby successfully taking out both of his rivals for Rhaenyra’s hand, and marrying her.
The Storm Lands briefly rose up against the King, and again, Duncan the Tall was forced to step in and end the threat with his sword. They have three children together, although their daughter Visenya Targaryen is stillborn. Played by Eve Best, Rhaenys is married to Lord Corlys Velaryon, a member of King Viserys' Small Council.

You’d think after all these failed rebellions, the Blackfyres would have learned a thing or two about combat, but unfortunately, they did not. At the Battle of Wendwater Bridge, Daemon was killed by Ser Duncan, the Tall of the Kingsguard. While the rebellion was crushed and Daemon killed, his third son Daemon II survived, and 15 years after his father’s death, the would-be King attempted to seize the Throne for himself. Thankfully, the actions of Bloodraven (Himself, one of Aegon IV’s bastards) managed to kill the insurgency in its infancy, and Daemon’s son was killed.
